Difference-between-Closure-and-Frontal

You may be a novice in hair wigs and want to learn “What is a closure”, what is a frontal, and “What is the difference between closure and frontal?” You might be looking for a lace frontal wig or a lace closure. They are what we will be discussing today.

Difference between Closure and Frontal

It is important to identify the style or look you want before you make your decision. This will help you choose the right fit. Let’s now look at the differences between them.

  1. SIZE

Lace frontal is half-wig that is worn from ear to ear. It is made with 3-4 bundles of hair. They are uniformly 13″ across and 4″ back.

Closure is available in sizes 4″ X 4″, as well as larger sizes. They are not worn from ear to ear like frontal. Instead, they are placed in the horseshoe region of the head to seal off the stitches.

  1. MATERIAL

Both lace and silk can be used for frontal and closure. However, some frontals can be made using both silk and silk by placing silk in the middle section of the 4×4 section and then lace on either side. Because of its quality and durability, lace closure/frontal is the most preferred. They blend well with natural hair and are more flat than other types.

  1. Versatility

Frontal is the best sis for styling versatility. Frontal can be worn in many styles. This allows you to wear your hair backwards, braid it into cornrows or any other style you like, while closure cannot.

A frontal may be a good option if you want to reshape your entire hairline. This is a great option for those with thinning hair or traction alopecia.

  1. INSTALLATION

You can wear a frontal or closure wig as a sewn-in or a wig. Although frontal wigs offer more styling options than closure, it is still a good option for simple styles such as a side or center part.

Lace closures can be sewn in place, while lace frontals should be bonded in their place.

You can put either one in front of or behind your hairline. Lace frontal is usually placed in front of your hairline because they are bonded.

  1. COST

Closure and frontal are not the same. Lace frontals cost more than lace closures because they have more hair. Frontals also have the advantage of being more versatile than closures because they can be styled in many different ways.
